The Brazilian government recently issued the Agenda China in Brasilia, the guiding document for trade to China, which planed to increase the exports of trade to China from USD10.7b last year to USD30b in 2010. There were 619 kinds of products chosen by the document as products with a priority of export expansion, and specific guiding advice has been made in trade, investment and promotion of products.
Miguel Jorge, Brazilian Minister of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade, and Chen Duqing, Chinese Ambassador in Brazil, attended the document release conference. Miguel said that Brazil attached importance to developing strategic partnership with China, and they wanted to increase exports and investment to China.
According to the statistics, China- Brazil trade maintained a rapid growth in the first half of this year. The volume of Brazilian exports to China reached USD7.407b, up by 50.7%; the volume of imports from China amounted to USD8.948b, up by 71.7%. Bilateral trade volume reached USD16.355b, up by 61.5%.
